Features

The UFA-S is expertly crafted using precision Swiss lathe turning and high-quality certified 4140 Cr-Mo steel, resulting in enhanced strength, corrosion resistance and durability compared to original materials. Each component undergoes heat treatment to achieve a Rockwell hardness of 48-52 Rc, ensuring long-lasting performance. All parts are further treated with QPQ (Quench Polish Quench) Nitriding, which improves corrosion resistance and extends the overall lifespan. The main plunger spring is upgraded with Stainless 316 music wire (per ASTM A313), offering superior corrosion resistance. The use of closed-end coils instead of open ends improves seating and alignment, ensuring optimal spring function. Additionally, all springs are stress-relieved and air-cooled, meeting military specifications. The plunger detent spring has also been improved, manufactured from zinc-plated music wire (per ASTM A288), further enhancing corrosion resistance and ensuring reliable operation under demanding conditions.
