The advanced nose geometry of these bullets ensures deep, straight penetration while producing a permanent wound cavity diameter that surpasses most expanding bullets. Constructed from solid copper, these bullets effectively penetrate barriers, are environmentally friendly and are highly effective against targets. Unlike conventional hollow point bullets, the Xtreme Defense maintains its performance even after penetrating barriers such as drywall or heavy clothing. The unique nose design features radial flutes that channel hydraulic energy inward, which, upon restriction, accelerates outward, creating high-pressure spikes that cause significant tissue damage. This rapid increase in fluid flow results in cavitation and extensive tissue damage comparable to the best hollow points available. Consequently, the permanent wound cavity is two to four times larger than that produced by flat or round nose bullets and often exceeds that of traditional or solid copper expanding bullets. This results in a bullet ideal for hunting or specialized self-defense applications, offering a larger permanent wound cavity along with exceptional penetration depth.
