The medium to high-strength threadlocker is engineered for the locking and sealing of threaded fasteners. Its low viscosity and capillary action allow it to wick between engaged threads, eliminating the need for disassembly before application. The product cures in the absence of air when confined between close-fitting metal surfaces, effectively preventing loosening and leakage caused by shock and vibration. Additionally, it can fill porosities in welds, castings and powdered metal parts. Loctite 290 green threadlocker requires a 24 hr cure time and offers excellent performance with a shear strength of 780 psi and a tensile strength of 90 psi. The operational temperature range is from -65 deg F - +300 deg F.
