The Trapdoor Stock combines classic AR-180 styling with a practical storage compartment. It offers a length of pull of 13.75 inches, similar to the original AR-180 rifle, when mounted on typical AR-15 style rifles with Picatinny mounting. Crafted from heavily fiber reinforced polymer, the stock itself weighs 11.3 oz. The stock butt plate features a user friendly hinge system, accessible by pressing a spring-loaded plunger on top with a rifle bullet point or small tool. Internally, the stock provides 8 inches of clear length from front to back, offering ample space to accommodate a full size AR-15 cleaning kit with a 3-piece steel cleaning rod. Moreover, it has an interior width of 1.05 inches, suitable for 1 inches diameter oil bottles. The generous dimensions of the butt plate measure 1.325 inches wide x 4.5 inches high, ensuring a comfortable and soft felt recoil. The hinges, weighing 6.9 oz, are supplied to Manticore Arms by Midwest Industries, made of steel and offer the flexibility to set up the stock for folding left or right. For easy installation, hardware and Allen wrenches are included.
