What is the OAL of this pistol?
John W on Aug 2, 2018
BEST ANSWER: 27 3/4” with brace fully collapsed and about 30 1/2” with brace extended.
Is this also available in 300 Blackout?
TSweeney on Aug 3, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Occasionally PSA will put out a pistol very similar to this in .300 BLK. You could always buy another barrel and switch it out yourself - it's really not that much of a task.

will rifle fire .223?
Daniel M on Nov 28, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, if the rifle has a 5.56 barrel it will fire both 5.56 and .223, but if the barrel is a .223, that’s all it can fire.
Will a 1.5" diameter suppressor fit with this rail?

Is the Magpul AFG-2 compatible with this?

What is the difference between carbine length and pistol length if both are 10 1/2"?
bigdtd on Nov 7, 2018
BEST ANSWER: These terms refer to the length of the gas system, not barrel length. My 10.5 came with the carbine length gas system and has been 100% reliable after about 500 rounds. Typically, the longer your gas system is, the less wear you will put on your bolt, chamber, and buffer over time (with .223 and 5.56). Pistol length gas is the shortest gas system length you'll find on most factory AR's.
Why does ad say NFA regulations apply? Is this considered SBR or pistol?
Todd L on Feb 23, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Because of the pistol brace it is defined as a pistol not an SBR.

Can the muzzle device be removed?
Tim R on Dec 29, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes it can. I replaced mine with a Noveske KX5. This helped with the flash and some of the felt recoil due to having a dual chamber in the can.

What is the recommended ammo for this pistol?
James h on May 14, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Generally speaking...1:9 twist up to approx 65gr...1:8 will shoot about anything on the shelf. 1:7 like heavier ammo. My rig shoots 75gr pretty well. I've had some accuracy issuew with lighter grains...but they work

I was making very consistent hits on a 12" plate at 150m using 62gr. My optic is a Vortex red dot 1MOA.

This great little rig isn't meat for distance. Within 250m you consistently ding metal. This weapon is not really a rig to do big game of course...but it'll bust coyotes real good. Hope this helps

Wow - Great for the money.
It's very well made for the money and it shoots great! It is very very loud (as with all pistols at this length). I am impressed with the build quality of the rail. The can takes up a lot of space inside the rail, so you can't add mlok accessories closer to the end of it.

Great AR and recommmended!
This was a great buy and choice. Straight out of the box is a good shooter, reliable, and accurate for a 10.5". Palmetto did a great job with the fit and finish and looks great. I put in a JP silent capture spring, Noveske KX5 flash can, and a CMC flat trigger and is a GREAT shooter. I definitely would consider another and recommend. Well done Palmetto!

Best AR Pistol for the price
You most likely can't find a build of this quality at such a good price. PSA has brought everything you need together with this pistol.

Great value and quality for the price! Buy with confidence!
I have been very pleased with this model. At this price point its hard to beat!

With this package you get arguably the best adjustable pistol brace available right now, a nice Magpul grip and trigger guard, a solid lightweight rail, and a good quality barrel to boot!

Trigger snobs may not love the polished mil spec trigger group, but it's a step up from baseline triggers. The single-stage trigger, while a bit heavy, has no take-up and breaks very clean.

The rifling in the barrel is nice and deep. The 10.5" with 1:7 twist likes heavier loads from my shooting. I was able to get noticeably tighter groups with 70+ grain loads. This is not a long range/ precision gun by any means, but with heavy bullets I'd say it's plenty accurate for what it is.

My biggest complaint would be with the 12" mlok handguard. With the flash can on you get that cool "Honey Badger" look, and it fits on solid with no wiggle, but if you plan on changing the muzzle device or adding a suppressor you'll probably want a new, shorter handguard. I ended up getting a UTG Pro 9" super slim handguard in FDE and couldnt be happier! My barrel now sticks out 1.5 in past the handguard, exposing the threads and making it much easier to install/remove muzzle devices. I plan on re-using the 12" handguard and original barrel nut to put together a longer-barreled upper for target shooting.

Another con for these short ARs is they are LOUD! The flash can included helps noticeably from behind the gun but its still much louder and more concussive than the 16"+ barrels. With or without the flash can, this sucker throws huge fireballs!

Lastly, the fit between the upper and lower on my particular gun was a little looser than I liked. It wiggled noticeably but at this price point that was a minor con considering the quality of the full package. This was easily remedied by wedging a small roll of electrical tape under the rear receiver locking lug to take out most of the play. This has not affected reliability, which has been 100% including about 200 rounds of cheap-o steel cased ammo. About 500-600 rounds so far and not a single hangup!

In conclusion, this package would be great as a functional base to build a custom pistol with, or to turn into an SBR. You get a reliable AR with nice furniture, a great barrel, and the awesome SB3 adjustable brace for a killer price!

Would have been 5-stars if the upper and lower had a tighter fit, but again this is easy to fix!

Shipped very fast!

Great quality AR pistol
Have not shot it yet but it appears to be great quality as is everything I have bought from Palmetto. I like this version of brace the best.

For an under dog AR pistol variant, this can bark with the other top dogs when it comes to build quality, functionality and aesthetics.

Happy 1st AR Pistol
Love it. My first ar pistol. Fast shipping.
Exactly as described. Light, easy to shoot, sba3 brace is very nice. I’ve got about 500 rounds through it so far. No issues what so ever. I’m a novice shooter but I think this is accurate for my needs and expectations.
The polished trigger group is not soppy, it is easy and predictable. The fit and finish is nice. I swapped out the grip for a K2 and added a T-25 red dot. So far I am very happy.

I was concerned about purchasing the pistol AR...but it is a blast. I love this light, "petite" weapon! The only thing I'm disappointed in is a couple weeks after I purchased it...the upper and lower sold separately with the sites I purchased separately for nearly half of my price.

Good shooter
Was looking into the Springfield saint ar pistol before this one caught my eye. For over 200 dollars less and way nicer looking. Have put over 500 rounds through it both steel and brass. No issues at all very high quality and well made for the price. All my rifle purchases will be from PSA now.

So far so good. Only shot 120 rounds with it but everything cycled fine. Surprisingly accurate. One takedown pin was different from the other but I could careless sbout that.
