Is this setup designed to effectively cycle the sub sonic ammo, or would the gas system need to be replaced?
JAY M on Jul 19, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It should run fine. It has a pistol length gas system, without knowing the gas port size I would say YES due to it having a carbine buffer and standard buffer spring.
Can I get this exact kit made with a nitride barrel and a better spec bolt carrier group (your premium)?
Brad S on Oct 15, 2018
will a silencer fit under the handgaurd?
drmacsmith on Sep 26, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Depends. The handrail is roughly 1.5”, and with most cans being 1.5” diameter, the answer would be “no”. I had this same issue after buying this pistol and started looking for a solution. I have found that Liberty surpressors sells a can call Mystic X, with specs of Length: 8” Diameter: 1.375” Weight: 10.5 oz. Given that diameter and it’s design, it should direct thread under this PSA handguard.
It this kit complete to build a complete pistol or do I need to purchase other parts? This will be my first build.
Capt.Weekend on Sep 19, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Will need a stripped lower to finish.
Is this whole kit only for a full auto or is it for semi-auto builds? The BCG description has me confused. I am looking into buying for a pistol build.
Aaron T on Sep 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it is ok for semi build and the lower parts included are for semi.
When will this be back in stock?
KYLE S on Jan 22, 2019
with the fluted flash can being on there, will I be able to fit a suppressor on it after removing the flash can? (a little confused because it looks like the barrel ends before the rail system does
Joshua W on Nov 30, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The barrel length is 10.5", the rail length is 12.5", so yes the barrel does end inside the rail. The outside diameter of the flash hider is about 1 3/16" and it fits inside the rail with minimal clearance, so your suppressor would have to be same diameter to clear. You might want to look at another pistol kit with a shorter rail.
Can the hand guard be replaced at all?
a k on Dec 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes it can. It is no different than any other hand guard, but you cannot put a vertical hand grip on it.
What are some opinions of the fluted flash can?
Murph on Nov 23, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Functions well and looks good. Fills the gap until my can is out of suppressor jail
Itbsays the barrel profile is a2, but i have never seen a .300 that is not HBAR. Is this a mistake or is it really a2?
George C on Mar 14, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Good call mine is a HBAR
Has anyone had issues with the rail moving forward while firing at all? I've heard of it happening before on a similar PSA build
Harrison S on Dec 3, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I haven't had any issues with my build but I've only put about 250 rds threw it ... check the screws and maybe apply lock tite
What is the length of the handgaurd at its longest point?
Shean D on Mar 15, 2019

1st buyer. 1st time builder.
Nice pistol for a 1st time ar user and everything fit together nicely for a 1st time builder. Only draw back is that the handguard moves forward everytime its shot no matter how tight I tighten the screws. Looking for a solution before I purchase a 7.5 5.56 pistol.

PSA 10.5" Pistol-Length 300AAC Blackout 1/8 Phosphate 12" Slant M-Lok MOE EPT SBA3 Pistol Kit
Everything fits great. I did opt to change a few components but that is mostly because I wanted to up the visual appeal for my son and myself. Works flawlessly but we still need to break the system in with a few hundred more rounds. Shipped fast, was in stock and everything is tight as it should be. I won't hesitate to purchase more components and firearms thru Palmetto State Arms.

I have two of pPlmetto's 300 blackout pistols. Both run well. I've not tested them for accuracy, but other ARs from Palmetto do a bang-up job out to 300 yards.

Built it, took it to the range today 12/6. Popped a mag in, released the BCG, round fired and immediately failed to eject. Now a round will not fully go into the chamber and BCG will not seat correctly. BCG will seat without a round in chamber. When you try and chamber a round it jams the BCG, once you clear that the round is deeply gashed. Upper does not function. Made sure to try a different lower, different BCG, different charging handle since I had buddies with AR15's, same problem. Tried several types of ammo to make sure it was not an ammunition issue, same problems. Currently not happy.

Everything you want in a truck gun and more!
Surprisingly good quality components and about the best mil-spec trigger I have ever used round out a very handy pistol and at a very competitive price point. This gun rides in a bug out bag in my tuck, and the excellent value and quality components give me peace of mind. Probably the most stunning feature of this pistol is the accuracy. I was expecting 1 to 1.5 moa at 50 yards, but what I got was truly impressive. I tested a number of bullet weights and manufacterer's loads, fired from an adjustable rest, from a bench, and at an indoor range. I did not test for velocity, only group size.
Hornady Black 110gr Vmax- .65 moa at 50 yards
Hornady American Gunner 125gr JHP- .80 moa at 50 yards
Fiocchi 125gr SPEC SST- .85 moa at 50 yards
Remington 120gr OTFB- 1.0 moa at 50 yards

I then took the pistol out to what I felt was the reasonable maximum distance I could expect from the cartridge and platform. To my great surprise, I was making regular hits at 300 and 400 yards on a full size IPSIC plate with the Sellier and Belloit 147gr ammo as well as the Remignton 120gr. The 110gr Vmax preformed well out to 300, but seemed to suffer from wind drift more than the 147gr and 120gr at 400 yards. For grins, I tried 600 yards, but could only dance around the target, no hits and very inconsistent performance.

For all you gear enthusiasts, this rifle is fitted with the following:
Aero Precision lower
MagPul trigger guard
UTG Mlok QD stud (forearm)
MagPul Picatinney Mlok rail (forearm)
Troy H&K Fixed Front Sight Post
UTG Fixed Super Slim Rear Sight (a very good sight)
Ergo Pistol Grip
FTW Carbine Sling (2 point)
Noveske End Plate QD
American Defense AimPoint QD Mount
AimPoint Comp M2
CMC Anti Walk trigger Pins

I do have one very minor complaint with the pistol, and I will be taking this issue up with PSA customer service and warranty dept. The forearm on mine keeps slipping forward and separating from the receiver group. I have tightened it several times, and I don't see any issues in the design. It may be that I simply have one that is a little out of spec. Again, it's minor because it has not resulted in the forearm completely slipping off the rifle, nor has it had an impact on the function or accuracy of the rifle. I'll post again and let you know how PSA handles the issue.
