You have had accuracy issues with your pistol uppers in the past.
Does this function correctly and is it accurate?
Tom C on Feb 18, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I’ve had mine for a couple of weeks, sits on a Rock River Arms lower with the RRA Match trigger. I put a Nikon Prostaff 3-9X Rimfire scope on it.
After about 200 rounds I’m getting 1/2 inch 5 shot groups at 50 yards using CCI Standard Velocity ammo.
What type of magazine works with these 22 uppers and where can they be obtained?
Larry D on Feb 14, 2019
BEST ANSWER: get a better mag adaptor from redi-mag and use s@w 15-22 mags they run great and the bolt hold open works I shoot federal bulk in the red box and have had only 3 failure to loads in about 800 rnds
Does it Stay open after last round?
Chick on Mar 4, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The bolt hold open doesn't work but the magazine follower does hold the bolt open until it is ejected.
Does this use a CMMG bolt or another brand?
Chris D on Feb 27, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It appears to me an unbranded cmmg bolt, it's exactly the same. They are very nice ...smooth, polished stainless steel. One commenter mentioned that the newer model has a cotter pin for the firing pin. This one does not, so it might be the older version but it is just fine.
Is there a special lower for this concerning the mags? How does this work?
Randall B on Feb 14, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Any standard lower will work. Uses Black Dog mags. S&W 15-22 mags work with an adapter from Boonie Packer.
Will this upper function with the Fostech Echo trigger?
Edward D on Mar 6, 2019
So will my psa complete lower work with this upper?
Brock B on Mar 3, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes, if it is a standard AR-15 Lower.
Can this be used on a pistol lower?
MTL S on Feb 28, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Pistol Lowers can be used on all Pistol and Rifle Uppers. Rifle Lowers cannot be used on Pistol (less than16 inch) that Lower is registered as an SBR, Short Barreled Rifle.
How many people are getting lite strikes with this upper and what trigger are you using?
Matthew P on Apr 4, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I did but a heaver spring took care of the problem
I realize that people have said to use the Black Dog magazines; but which one? When I go to their page I see a plethora of different magazines, almost all of which say that they do not work with one type of kit, or another.

Please provide a model, or part number so I an buy some magazines for my rifle, it is currently sitting unused.
Robert C on Mar 24, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Just go with cmmg magazines they are the same build quality, same functionality, can be taken apart for cleaning and unlike the Black Dog magazine they can't be overloaded without so you can't damage the spring.
What is the total weight of this?
Jeff K on Mar 20, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Just over 4lbs.
Does the .22 upper require a lower with a buffer spring? Or can the buffer spring/tube be omitted?
Brian M on Feb 19, 2019
BEST ANSWER: No buffer or spring is necessary, the bcg cycles within itself - nothing needed in the tube, the design will keep the bolt from going back into the tube
Is this upper could be ship to California?
Emmanuel on Mar 12, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes, I just bought one. PSA ships ANY upper to California, they will not ship complete lowers to California, They will ship completely stripped lowers to a California FFL.

Johnnie on May 24, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The handguard is octagonal in section. It's 1-5/16" across the interior flats.

BEST ANSWER: Any standard mil spec forged lower, but, you need s rounded ( not notched ) hammer.
I have tried this on a billet lower, and the magazines seem to fit loosely.
Can you convert this to 5.56 /.223 by changing the boiler and carrier?

Can anyone help to answer this question? I understand that this does NOT use a gas system, however I wanted to know the location of the gas block, is it pistol, carbine, mid-length or rifle? Thank you!

A lot of fun on range day
What can I say, this thing is a blast on range day. can shoot all day for a fraction of the cost of 5.56 rounds. If you don't have one, you need one!
Ready for the next range day!

I was very happy with it. Me and my wife gave it real work out. After 500 rds and not one miss fire I was very impressed. I would recommend it to my buy list.

300 rounds the first trip out, it was amazing.
I was very sceptical on buying this upper after reading the reviews and watch videos about the PSA .22lr pistol uppers. Let me set the record straight for the upper that I received. I zeroed my sparc ar 2 moa red dot at 36 yards prone with a bipod, and got roughly 1 moa accuracy with fedral ammo. I understand that it would be roughly 3 moa at 100 yards, but again this was with a 2 moa red dot and a weekend warrior shooter (not a professional). This is plenty accurate for me and what I wanted it for. I used the cmmg mags and tried three different lowers with a bcm, psa, and a standard mil spec trigger and all worked flawlessly. The only issue that I ran into is when I ran some ammo that is probably about 10 years old and isn't consistent in my ruger 10/22 either. If your question buying this upper, just do it, I love it. The only problem that I'm going to have is keeping .22lr ammo at home.
The upper group is taking my time.

Flawless out of the box and functions beautifully. Put this on a extra lower I had and it fit perfect. Manual of arms and weight is exactly the same, with exception of bolt hold open and release. 250 rounds down range strait out the box and no malfunction.

Lite strikes
Its not bad I guess, but if you have a lot of misfires as I do you will have to get a heaver trigger. Then hope for the best.

PSA .22lr upper
I was hoping for decent accuracy out of this, but I was pleasantly surprised when this equaled my tricked out match 10/22 which cost me way more money., It has the original miss-shapened extractor, but it still works fine with CCI Blazer.

I received this upper in the mail yesterday along with a cmmg 25 rnd mag and installed my 6.5 creedmoor's scope on a qd mount. It groups pretty well for a .22lr it will definitely do better with more consistent ammo and a more steady hand. Out of around 150 rounds I had one failure to feed and it had one round get stuck in the chamber once it started getting dirty.

30 yard groups. These are not the best groups I had. I was testing return to zero of my mount.
