What is the difference between the ar15 and ar16 upper receiver?
Jerry H on Jan 2, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The AR-16 was a 7.63x51 prototype. It was very different to the AR-15 and if you somehow have an AR-16 lower receiver, this will not work.
Can the front site be removed ?
Israel J on Dec 18, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, but it requires a quality punch set and many really good hits with a hammer. Pins are tapered so will only punch out one way. I have attempted this on two different PSA FSBs, once with success and the other time I had to get the Dremel. Some may be in there really good so just be away of what you are getting into.
Whats the difference between the "Freedom" rifle and the "Classic" rifle kit?

What tools will I need to complete this build? From a first time kit buyer (obviously)
Jason S on Jan 20, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Bare minimum tools need to assemble a AR lower, (since the upper is already assembled).
Hammer preferably brass or other soft metal, Pin punches 1/16 and 1/8 inch, Channel locks type pliers
(internet search for pliers trick for bolt catch and trigger guard installation should find you videos), electrical or masking tape to cover jaw of pliers.
Armorers or castle nut wrench for installing the buffer tube assembly, (in a pinch a brass punch can be used)
Another trick for installing the front take down pin spring and detent is to use a 1/4 inch clevis pin (another internet search should find you a video)
Which PSA rear sight is required for this build?
Pierce on Dec 29, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No sight is "required", PSA or other brand to make the rifle functional.
Target acquisition is another subject.
What caliber rounds will this rifle shoot besides .223 and 556?
Will it take the 300 Blackout
Donald L on Jan 17, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Rule of thumb: A rifle in 5.56 can shoot 223 but a rifle in 223 cannot shoot 5.56. Neither can shoot 300 blackout. You need a 300 blackout upper to shoot the round.
Are the parts packaged in groups like "Trigger assembly" ect?
BigJohn on Dec 29, 2018
BEST ANSWER: My PSA kits have come grouped in that way. If they didn't, a quick Google will show you which part is which.

Will a 1.7 twist barrel be ok for all weight bullets or should I go with a 1.8 or a 1.9 with a 223 cal?
J E on Jan 1, 2019
BEST ANSWER: A 1/7 barrel will stabilize 55-80 grain bullets. 1/9 will stabilize 35-75 grain so a 1/8 is kinda right there in the middle so I’d choose it. However all twist rates will be fine with the most common 55 and 62 grain rounds.
does the kit require an ffl ?
joseph d on Mar 4, 2019
BEST ANSWER: No ... This kit can be shipped right to your house. The lower is the only part. that has to be shipped to a FLL.

Great kit
Purchased this kit last year about this time, everything looked great, the parts fit my Aero receiver without any issue and the rifle has not had a single malfunction. Accuracy is just the same as my factory S&W, Bushmaster and DSA, I will recommend this to anyone who is looking to get a good rifle on a budget. My example performed way above its price range. I have only put about 500 rounds through this rifle but like I said, so far no malfunctions at all, and accuracy is on par with my other three.

Stock is somewhat loose or flimsy but other than that great kit.
Definitely would recommend buying this kit and I would also buy another.
