What does "bolt carrier: full auto" mean?
Sonny on Jan 11, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Some AR-15s bolt carrier group have the lower section of the rear of the carrier milled away so it cannot act on a full-auto-sear (which semi-autos don't have). This is pretty common in older AR15s. It in no way means that this is an automatic weapon.
Will this shoot a 556 and 223 without modifying anything?
Chris on Jan 26, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes it will
What does multi-cal mean?
Allen B on Dec 12, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Multi-cal means multi caliber. That is on the lower receiver which can be used in any combination of upper receivers of various chamberings (e.g., .223, 300BLK, etc.) that are AR-15 patterned.

Buffer retaining pin bound by the receiver extension and binding
Purchased 3/9/2019. As the Title stats, "Buffer retaining pin bound by the receiver extension and binding". To elaborate, the Upper and Lower were removed for cleaning and lube before a weekend outage to the range.

However, I immediately noticed scuffs and scratch marks on the Buffer, the threads on the Receiver Extension and the rear upper part of the Upper Receiver where these sections come together. What I quickly discovered right after is that the two (Upper and Lower) will only go back together with a LOT of force.

It looks as though the receiver extension was cranked too far and/or machined poorly, causing the threads to protrude far enough that it pushes the Upper and Lower apart, not making a flush or otherwise respectable fit. This also making the takedown pins require a hammer and pin punch to manipulate. You cannot remove or push in these pins by hand.

If not for this oversight in QC, I would strongly give this rifle 4/5 as the Bolt, Bolt Carrier Group and other components are of very good quality.

I cannot fire this rifle in it's current condition, sadly.

...follow up review will come if mended.
