It seems pretty apparent from the reviews accuracy is a serious issue with this upper. PSA, have you addressed this problem and what have you changed on the uppers that you are currently sending out the door today? I would like to buy one but do not want to have to send it back to have it fixed like many of the reviews state. I would rather wait for a product that is refined- has anything changed yet?

Will CMMG 22 AR magazines work with this upper?
Frederick on Aug 30, 2018

What is the BCG that PSA uses ie is it similar to the CMMG product?
Jim A on Jan 23, 2019

Does this upper require the use of a buffer spring?
George F on Feb 16, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It does not require a buffer spring, but you do need something ridged in the front end of the buffer tube to hold the BCG in place. I have a buffer spring in mine and it’s rigid enough to hold the BCG from moving back into the buffer tube. Hope that helps.

nice upper
PSA sells a nice product, well pleased

Looks nicely made . . doesn't shoot that way.
I read the reviews reporting so-so accuracy, while others were pleased . . . hmm, how bad could it be? Cleaned the bore and put a nice Vortex scope on to find out. Astonishingly poor accuracy, grouped 8 inches at 50 yards. I did not plug and mike the barrel, but assume the bore must be loose. Holes in paper showed no sign of tumbling at that close range, but the thing doesn't even have minute of can accuracy. Returned it and am waiting for PSA to come up with something that shoots straight.

PSA 7.5" .22 upper
Received the upper in excellent condition. After cleaning the barrel, brush and cloth, I put about a hundred rounds through it. Rounds used were Aguila subsonic LR and CCI subsonic LR. Aguila had just enough power to cycle the bolt. However, I did get some double taps out of it. The bolt was cycled back far enough to extract the case and chamber the next round, but not far enough to catch the hammer from falling on the next round. Due to load variances, this was random. About one in 10-15 pulls of the trigger. CCI was great! Except much loader. Obviously more of a powder charge. Accuracy was acceptable, for a new barrel. 40 yards with a 4x scope, leaning on a small tree. Great for "minute of squirrel". Only malfunctions were ammo related, due to low power charge. Very happy with my purchase! Would recommend!

Terrible accuracy
Cycles great but terrible accuracy. Bought this after it was out of stock for a while. Thought it was not in stock due to all the terrible reviews of the accuracy before. Thought maybe the issues were worked out. Apparently nothing changed.

Got this upper a couple weeks ago, I had seen some poor reviews about the accuracy, but in my experience, I’ve got to say it’s been pretty good, I’m regularly ringing an 8in plate at 100 yards with a non magnified cheap eBay red dot. Is it a precision rifle...NO! But it is loads of fun.

Wait and See
I was very excited to add this .22 AR upper to my collection. I mounted the new holosun red dot that I just purchased from PSA. Before heading out to the range I cleaned and lubed the upper . When I got to the range I ran 10 rounds of minimags do range. Everything went perfect. I moved over to the site in range load up 5 rounds federal auto match and she off a bag. I went down range and I had a shot gun pattern. I loaded up again, same thing. This went on for 50 rounds. The gun functioned flawlessly . But I could not get it to zero. I removed the red dot and mount it on my Ruger PCC. I zeroed in 9 shots. I looked it over and everything was tight.
I called PSA and they have it. I really want them to fix it. I was a great running pistol . I hope they can work the bugs out of this design . Waiting for my receiver to come back.

Terrible accuracy
When I bought this upper no reviews had yet been posted. I've shot it once to sight it in and the shots were all over the place at distances of 10 yards and further. Was also using a new red dot sight, so that that might have been the problem. Now I see many others are experiencing very poor accuracy with this upper.

This is the first PSA upper or lower I've ever experienced problems with accuracy wise. PSA, please help on this one?

Fit great.
Fit easily on my PSA lower. I bought this dedicated 22lr upper to improve accuracy with the 1:16 twist. Still need to check that out at the range.
