Is this upper compatible with mill speck 7.62 x 39 barrel, bcg and charging handle?
Charles L on Apr 17, 2019
BEST ANSWER: You won't be using this upper on a mil spec lower and expect to use an AR15 type magazine because it has been modified to work with the KS47 BCG and lower to allow use of the AK magazines.
Can this be installed with 5.56 mil-spec forward assist and dust cover? If not, what is compatible?
Patrick on Mar 30, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes, Mil-spec parts will work.
Will a Wheeler clam shell AR-15 upper vise block clamp hold this receiver to install barrels/handguards?
Anderson on Jul 25, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hello,

It most likely will not, since the upper geometry of the KS47 is totally different than a standard AR15 upper.

Best Regards,

Excellent company, service and products. Now make an AK that takes Glock mags. 😬
Used upper to rebuild AR-47 into a KS-47. Opened feed lips for single ramp on barrel. Paired upper with complete lower from Palmetto. Excellent shooter and perfect feed.

AK Mags, AR platform,
I know we can shoot 223/5.56 on the cheap again, but cheaper yet the 7.62X39 and now we can build an AR to use AK mags and shoot what is to my knowledge the lease expensive rifle ammo made. Oh and did I mention the build cost just pennies more than an AR 556 NATO build.

Stripped Gen2 KS47 upper
Finish matches the KS47 lower. I like the unique shape of the upper. I used it to build a second upper for my lower.

Long awaited arrival
I used this to replace my Gen 1 upper that cracked. I really dig the anti over feed tabs for the magazine. Big difference!!! One weird thing, the rail I used left about an 1/8 inch gap between the top of the rail and the rail on the upper. I ended up shaving the front of the barrel nut and it joined up fine. I wonder if the lip on the barrel extension is thicker than what their using now or if they’re using a proprietary rail.
