CastleB on Aug 4, 2018

Will this work with an aero precision lower?
Brandon B on Jun 4, 2018
BEST ANSWER: "No", it will not...I tried to pair a PA-10 upper to an Aero M5 lower...will "not" pair up correctly...besides, the PA-10/65 lower will make a much better visual/mechanical match, at a significantly lower price (my advise)'c

How is the gas block adjusted?
Ron L on Apr 24, 2018
BEST ANSWER: There is a small Allan screw face of the gas block which you can see and access from the end of the M-loc rail. Turn the screw counterclockwise to increase gas to the action or clockwise to decrease.
Will this work on a Smith and Wesson AR10 lower?
BearKiller on Aug 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I have not tried to fit on a S&W AR10 Lower. But it is a mil spec upper. I have my AR 65 on a PA AR 10 lower. It works perfectly. It should work fine as long as your S&W lower is to mil spec.
Is the gas block pre-adjusted at factory or does it need to be adjusted after purchase? If needs adjustment what is the procedure to adjust it. Mine seems as if it has been thread locked into position.
Newt57 on Aug 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: there is likely a set screw holding the gas adjusting screw from turning. Have you checked/loosen that set screw?

Will the 6.5 Creedmoor upper fit a Rock River AR-15 Lower?

Will this fit a smith and wesson ar10 lower?
Tim C on Jan 12, 2019
BEST ANSWER: There is no direct answer to that unless someone has tried it and will answer for you. As you know ar10’s are not mil spec, there are 2 different uppers and lowers as made by armalite, ( ( the difference being the angle at the rear of the upper to lower, one is rounded, the other is 45’d ), then there is what is called the high rail and low rail version which refers to the height of the rail on the upper and the corresponding hand guard. All I can say is it is possible. It is best however to just go ahead and match the PSA upper to their lower, especially with the price they offer a complete PA65 lower ! You can get one with milspec trigger group or one with 2 stage trigger.
What other kind of lowers can i run with the 6.5 creedmoor upper?

Can't seem to loosen up the A2 cage. Is it pinned in?
Sam B on May 8, 2019
BEST ANSWER: if you asking about the A2 style Flash Hider, It is not pinned. Very tight and not lubricated. Be careful not to apply too much torque as to damage the rifle barrel or upper receiver. If you can not get it loose, maybe you should take it to a gun shop as they will have the proper equipment to counter brace the barrel for the proper pressure to break the flash hider loose.
Will this fit a diamondback AR10 308 lower?

Evening Gentleman, Do you think this would work with a Diamond Back DB10 lower?
John F on Jan 4, 2019
BEST ANSWER: maybe. maybe not. ar-10 platform rifles don't enjoy the same standardization found in the ar-15 platform. even if it does actually fit and work, the contour and width of the two receivers is likely it might not look right.

10/10 would recommend
This thing is awesome. The adjustable gas block is nice. When I first shot it, it was leaving dings in my brass but I turned the gas down and now the brass comes out like new. 10/10 would recommend. Especially for the price.

Tricked it out
I bought the PSA upper and lower. First thing I did is take it all apart and take the pieces to a local Cerakote shop. Got the aluminum pieces coated in Tungsten Cerakote and added some Battlestar Galactica theme quotes with a Cylon Centurion head to satisfy my SciFi nerd fetish. Then added a few other custom touches like a Seekins Precision muzzle break, KNS pins, Strike extended charging handle latch, and an Ergo grip. Looks great.

Shot even better than it looked. Trigger is a little stiff for my taste. But shot this nice 4 shot group at 200y using Hornady 140gn American Gunner ammo. This was the best of the targets. But none were bad.

Good value, having some cycling issues.
Shot 20 rounds so far with 2 major jams. Still breaking the barrel in so not sure how accurate it will be. I am going to try adjusting the gas block and also different ammo. I have high hopes, if it doesn’t clear up I know PSA will make it right. Can’t beat this for the price.

Phenomenal reciever!
It's a great product! At first the bolt catch on the Lower reciever would make contact with the upper and not engage the bolt catch completely but after some gun smithing I was able to correct it no problem! The accuracy is incredible and it's a heavy bull barrle. It shoots easily sub MOA. Overall I absolutely love this product and I would definetly reccomend to those looking to buy too. Would buy again!

Roger what Mark K said in April.
Overall, good product. But like Mark K said, the gas block adjustment set screw was super-tight. After getting some advice from one of PSA's representatives, I directed heat, (from a heat gun, not a flame), at the set screw, added a drop of Kroil and let it sit overnight. No go. Repeat, repeat. Finally got it to break loose.

I voiced my concern that I didn't feel comfortable with just the adjustment setscrew, and no "jamb-nut", to keep the gas block adjustment locked in. Wilson combat makes an adjustable gas block which includes an adjustment and a set screw.

I could get neither PSA nor Wilson to commit as to whether the Wilson gas block was compatible with the PSA upper. Maybe a trip to the hardware store is in order to buy a set screw.

That being said, all of the PSA parts, upper and lower, fit great and functioned flawlessly. The Hornady 6.5 Creedmoor brass was pretty beat up though. Next time I'll work on the gas/cycling. My main objective last time at the range was to check the function and sight-in.

Good price point when available. Much easier on my, (bum), shoulder than a 6.5 Creedmoor bolt gun.

Mostly okay.
Aesthetically, the gun is beautiful. The upper and PSA Gen 2 lower fit together well with just a little play.

The gas block however is awful. I took it out and within ten rounds it was double-feeding sometimes or FTE other times. Tightened it down a bit and it ran about ten rounds through it (though inaccurately and ejecting the spent brass very inconsistent distances) . I think if you purchase this you might as well plan on buying an aftermarket gas block as well.

Hopefully replacing that resolves the feeding issues and the accuracy of the rifle.

Not as impressed as I thought I’d be
It wouldn’t fit on my LR 308 lower so I bought the PSA Gen2 lower to go with it. The upper was way over gas and was trashing my brass. The setscrew on the gas block was tightened so tight that it had flattened the gas crew and I was unable to get it out without stripping it. I replaced the gas screw and adjusted the gas correctly and now it functions fine. Accuracy with Hornady match 147ELD’s is about 1 to 1.5 MOA
