Magazine Catch for PSA PA10 and PTAC Tac10 lowers.

Phosphate coated.

The AR10 platform does not enjoy a common design between manufacturers, like the AR15.    As a result, there can and will be subtle differences in the parts kits of various manufacturers.  Some parts, like the fire control group, are shared with the AR15 platform to preserve the options for upgrading.  For best results, we recommend only using PSA PA10 parts with our uppers and lower receivers.  We do not recommend using other manufacturers parts in our products.

Is this the same length/size as the standard AR15 mag catch?
Charles B on May 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: 1.263" aka, same size as mil-spec AR15 mag catch.
how long is the bolt?
Ralph H on Mar 17, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Don't recall exact length but it is short and will not thread flush with the magazine catch button if that is what you are looking for. It does work just fine though.

It Worked
My Bushmaster XM10 catch broke. No one had an AR10 catch here in San Diego.
This fit perfectly.

Haven't gone to the range yet again. Here in CA I have to have a Patriot Mag release to have evil features (pistol grip, forward grip, collapsing stock & flash hider) otherwise it is an "assault weapon". Required I drill out the old broken catch and reinstall the Patriot after clean up with acetone (dissolves super glue)

I tried to use a AR15 Mag Catch on my Palmetto and on the first test shot with mag locked in it didn't hold and didn't load second round. I had to hold the mag in for it to load. Used AR 10 or LR308 mag catch palmetto part problem solved. The 4 part kit upgrade is what you need, a must have. All my LR308
PSA lowers use the older Magpul LR 7.62X51 #243 that I have and New Gen3 Work perfect too. They make these parts for their guns for a good reason that I stay real close to on any thing I have.

Also Received AR-15 Mag Catch
Ordered on 2/20, item was bagged and labeled 'PA-10', also on 2/20. Arrived 2-weeks later (to the day) and its just a standard mil-spec magazine catch, does NOT have longer threads. I have contacted PSA to see if they actually have one with longer threads or if this is just an up-priced AR-15 part.

Mine were Same length as AR-15
I ordered 2 for the AR-10 for a friend, and 2 for the AR-15 for me. On my PSA AR-10's they are slightly longer to account for the wider magazine well. Both types were exactly the same length but packaged under different part numbers. My friend managed to use them anyway. It wasn't worth the effort to send back, and I've always been treated well by PSA. I have a new AR-10 rifle kit en-route, I hope the mag catch is the proper length.
