This feature reduces neck brass work hardening, enhancing both case durability and shooting accuracy. However, these benefits rely on using top-tier brass with uniform neck thickness. To determine the best bushing size, reloaders can either measure the loaded cartridge's neck diameter and subtract 0.002 - 0.003 inches or calculate by doubling neck wall thickness, adding bullet diameter, then subtracting 0.001 inches . Keeping bushings one or two sizes above and below your calculated target is also advised.
