When paired with brass of consistent neck thickness, these bushings reduce neck fatigue and increase both case life and shot precision. To determine the proper size, subtract 0.002 - 0.003 inches from the loaded round's neck diameter or use the calculation: (neck wall thickness x 2) + bullet diameter - 0.001 inches. For best results, RCBS advises having bushings a size or two above and below your ideal diameter.
