Brass uniformity is key to effectiveness, so only high-end brass with consistent wall thickness should be used. Calculate your ideal bushing size by subtracting 0.002 - 0.003 inches from the loaded cartridge's neck diameter or apply the neck wall thickness formula. RCBS recommends reloaders maintain a range of bushing sizes around the target value.
