It begins with a radius on the base, easing the die's entry into the case mouth for smooth operation. The next stage features a parallel expander section that internally expands and trues the case, creating a perfect bearing surface for the bullet during seating. This ensures more uniform bullet pull and consistent start pressure. Following this, a small step aligns the bullet with the centerline of the cartridge case, positioning it for proper contact with the seating micrometer. This step enhances uniformity during the seating process. Finally, the die includes a flare to further open the case mouth, particularly when using cast bullets, preventing lead shaving and ensuring a smooth, accurate seating process.
