The magazine will not lock into the pistol? Any ideas? I put six rounds in and try to load the clip....it does not lock in?
Russ C on Aug 7, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Try locking the slide back and then inserting the magazine. When the magazine is full it can take a fair amount of force to overcome the spring pressure and get the mag to lock in. When you lock the slide back first, you eliminate that problem.

How does this compare to the Ruger LCP II ?
Larry W on Aug 15, 2018
BEST ANSWER: There are very many online reviews that compare the differences. This model (LCP post 2013) is worth the great price being offered on the Daily Deal here which allowed me to justify getting this for deep conceal. If you have the money, it appears the LCP 2 is worth it. But the model I have is a great bargain.

Ruger LCP .380
I cleaned it upon receiving it and then went to the range where I put 200 through it and it shot fine. It is small enough to use with an aliengear ankle holster which works awesome if you wear boots because it is impossible to spot being so tiny. I think its a good gun for what it is.

Unusable firearm, do not purchase.
Just purchased a week back, came on Wednesday and picked it up Thursday. Went to the local range and had the gun jam up almost every single round. Got about 75 rounds through it before I gave up to clean it. Came back Saturday and tried shooting it again, the record was 3 bullets without a malfunction. Even got the range instructor out to test it, and his best answer was "maybe try a higher than 100 grain bullet".

For the gun itself, it's lightweight, small, and simple to operate. Magazines cost an arm and a leg but thats whatever. If it 100% worked, I'd give it a 3 star rating. As is, it's the most useless carry pistol out there. If you tried to use this for self defense, you'd be killed.

This handgun doesn't work as intended out of the box, whether that's from Palmetto State or from Ruger, it doesn't matter. Save the cash, and purchase a working firearm.

Could not pass it up for the price
Will be my edc. With the Hogue handall grip cover and tiger clip extension I can get a solid hold on it. Hard to see the sights, but laser takes care of that. Dealer I shipped to was very impressed with the price. Said he couldn’t even get them that cheap.

Great gun that will need some fine tuning
In general, I am very pleased with the Ruger LCP for the price I paid for it. It appears some of these can run rather smoothly, and others can be plagued with feeding issues. I have the latter. But I plan on doing some rather easy modifications as recommended by others on YouTube videos and I am rather confident I'll end up with a very reliable handgun that can be easily carried concealed in my pocket. I will give update with some videos after I have it running properly.
