Very happy
Gun came in pretty good condition, some slight holster wear marks on the slide but otherwise in excellent condition.

Only one magazine, but all three palm swells came with it.

The gun itself is absolutely spotless inside. I don't think there was even a box of ammo ran through it, as there is no carbon buildup anywhere.

Night sights are nice and bright, and seem to be the factory M&P sights due to the M&P stamping.

The only caveat I will give the gun and PSA is it was not noted that this model has the magazine disconnect. It will not fire without the magazine inserted. Only reason for the 4 star rating, otherwise 5 star gun!
Showing holster wear marks
Internals nice and clean

Very Pleased with this purchase!
I thought I would take a chance at this price, I have numerous M&P pistols and all are great shooters as this one turned out as well. Mine came with no police dept. markings at all. I am giving this 5 stars as a used gun. I expected to have some minor flaws because it has been carried on duty probably for a few years. The night sights do not glow. There is very minor holster wear on the slide. All the polymer is excellent. It came with the medium grip backstrap on it, no others. One new 10 round magazine, Palmetto must have replaced the used one. Palmetto also sent it in a brand new S&W case, but no paperwork or anything else. The gun came pretty grubby on the exterior, even a little sticky as I gripped it for the first time. The internals had much burnt powder build up, but nothing some solvent couldn't handle. I spent an hour and a half cleaning and oiling it up for my first shoot. The slide rails had normal wear. After my cleaning the gun looked amazing. I even clean and oil my new guns before shooting so I expected this one to need a cleaning. Upon shooting I went through a box of Winchester hollow points and a box of Federal target loads flawlessly. The sights were dead on target, no adjustment needed. This is a smooth shooter and not much recoil for a 45. I am very pleased with it's performance. A good solid firearm. I feel that I got a good deal! Thanks Palmetto State Armory!

I am not impressed.
Just received mine today. Definitely not what I was hoping for. Just a beat up old .45.
Did not have any police department info on it. Sights are junk. Not impressed.

The “very good condition” should be removed from description.

Interesting first look but super dirty on arival
This is the second LE Trade-in pistol I've recently purchased. I bought the S&W MP 40 a few weeks prior and had excellent success with it. You can read my review by looking at that gun on PSA as its still for sale as of January 24, 2020. This one however was different. Not in a bad way but just different. Unfortunately, it came with a simple cardboard box vs. the hard-plastic original case the other pistol came in. This was a new box, but totally generic. It had an instruction manual, red cable lock and the always present PSA sticker. The pistol was wrapped in a blue translucent plastic bag shaped for a compact or full-size pistol. At first glance I was somewhat surprised at what I saw. The pistol was in good to very condition and hard something special etched onto it. It was laser etched with the police department it was originally issued too. Very crisp with text saying “Bridgeport Police Department” on the left, the Logo of the Police Department on the top and the pistols ID number on the right. All the text is perfect without any scratches. I think it's very cool to have this. Of course, this was a LE Trade-in, so I knew it was used daily. The pistol overall had no scratches or smudges and except for the magazine, externally it looked good to very good. Once I broke down the pistol, it was a mess. The pistol was filthy. It was caked with gunk everywhere. Everything was covered in spent powder. I immediately cleaned it from front to back, inside and out. I took as much of the pistol apart as I could. Each piece I cleaned with Number 9 and the cloth that was utterly black from the task after each section was completed. I spent about 30 minutes scrubbing every inch of the slide, barrel, spring, grip and trigger mechanism. For someone not familiar with this, you need to take this to a gun shop to do. It was so dirty; it would have been dangerous to use. My efforts returned the pistol to fully functional shape, at least visually. I used a spend shell with a new primer to test the firing pin and its ability to function properly. Basically, I used a blank and fired it with ear and eye protection and in a totally safe fashion. I did a physical inspectional after it's cleaning, but I wanted to test before I went to the range. Everything worked as it should. The primer had the correct depth on it. After the detailed cleaning, I totally disassembled it again and using Rem Oil and Hopps gun oil on every part of the pistol requiring lubrication. All parts worked as smoothly as any pistol I've ever had once completed. I will be taking the pistol to the range over the weekend but do plan to ask the range master to look before I fire it with real ammo. As for the magazine, it came (as noted on the website) with one magazine. It was a ten round OEM LE version magazine in chrome vs. the normal steal blue that the non-LE version comes with. The magazine was used hard. Lots of use marks but the spring was still firm enough to push the bullets correctly into the chamber but not so hard that you need a crowbar to get the 9th and 10th round in the magazine. I loaded 10 standard range rounds in the magazine in less than 90 seconds by hand and 45 seconds using a MagLULA mag loader. New mags are a bit stiff but will wear in after a few loads or if they sit for a few days. My tipoff the day for new users. No dents on the magazine but it had numerous scratches and general ware marks. Good news is I had already purchased 4 OEM S&W mags for it at my local Florida gun show. I got them for $40 each cash which is a good deal for OEM mags in their sealed, original S&W packaging. Finally, I wanted to touch on the night sights. They looked a little off when I first looked at the pistol. Turns out they too were covered in gun gunk. I used a medium plastic bristle detail brush to clean them. They immediately came clean to a point that they looked brand new. They really looked brand new and may have been replaced. Luminosity was 80 to 85% using my unscientific pitch-black self-eye test. For a 10-year-old pistol, that’s fine with me. Night sights last 17 years under most circumstances at which time they will be 50% of their new brightness. These are perfectly in line with their half-life for those that understand the concept of decay of radioactive material. I gave it a 4 out of 5 stars because of physical condition and the laser etching and penalized it for the conditional of cleanliness. I hope you enjoyed this and found it useful. Happy and Safe Shooting
