It repels or kills disease-spreading ticks (including Lyme disease), mosquitoes (carrying West Nile and Zika viruses) and over 55 other types of insects. Ideal for activities such as camping, backpacking, hunting, travel and outdoor events like backyard BBQs or picnics, Permethrin provides an odorless layer of protection for your gear, including shirts, jackets, pants, socks, shoes, sleeping bags, tents and netting. A University of Rhode Island study (2011) found that people wearing Permethrin-treated shoes and socks were 73.6 times less likely to get a tick bite compared to those with untreated footwear. It also helps reduce the mosquito population around your camp and prevents ticks from attaching to you.
