This semi-convertible ambidextrous rifle platform offers an adjustable short-stroke, gas-piston operation and is chambered for 5.56x45mm (.223 Remington) ammunition, with magazine options of 10, 30 or 42-rounds. The M1 variant represents the latest generation of the venerated bullpup platform, equipped with a versatile optics attachment platform reminiscent of the sought after AUG A2. The AUG A3 M1 comes with an extended Rail as standard, while optional short rails, high rails, 1.5X or 3X optics can be added separately, providing flexibility and customization for each shooter's preferences. With its compact 16 inches heavy barrel, the AUG A3 M1 measures just 28.15 inches overall, making it significantly shorter than an M4 carbine with a comparable length barrel. This rifle's short stroke gas piston operation ensures cleaner performance, with exhaust gas venting out of the front of the rifle, enhancing reliability even in adverse conditions and with dirty ammunition. The AUG A3 M1 is packed with classic features, including easy disassembly and the ability to convert to left hand operation. A quick change barrel and collapsible forward grip add to its practicality, while a two-position cross-bolt safety ensures secure handling. The receiver has been updated to include a VLTOR Quick-Disconnect sling swivel, offering fast and easy sling attachment and removal for a seamless shooting experience.
