Features
The Remington conversion revolver is a faithful reproduction harkening back to a historic era when popular black powder revolvers underwent conversion into cartridge-based revolvers. Although these replicas are originally manufactured as converted cartridge revolvers, they retain the unique feature of an effortless transition between black powder and centerfire cartridges. For instance, the Remington conversion in 0.45LC provides shooters with the versatility to switch between 0.45LC and 0.44 black powder ammunition by simply removing the breech plate and cartridge cylinder and replacing them with an available spare black powder cylinder (obtainable as a spare part from Taylor's A1014005). These revolvers preserve other original design elements as well, the forged frames are dovetailed to accommodate the sliding loading gate assembly and a contemporary ejector rod is seamlessly incorporated into the original black powder loading lever, complete with a small notch cut into the loading lever itself. The Lawdawg model boasts a 2-piece ivory polymer grip, an octagonal barrel, a classic blued finish and a brass trigger guard. To enhance its appeal, this model is tastefully adorned with standard laser engraving, adding an extra layer of sophistication to its historical charm.
