The original model IX was manufactured from 1936 to 1954. During this period, a grip safety was introduced, leading to the model's designation change to IXA. Subsequent modifications included the addition of a ventilated rib and an updated plunger tube. Renowned for its craftsmanship and reliability, this model continued production until Llama ceased operations.
