Vihtavuori N120 rifle powder is highly effective for small calibers with light bullets and short-barreled rifles, particularly in .222 Remington and 7.62x39mm. Previously known as N 21, this powder is renowned and utilized by the Finnish Army. The N120 exhibits a fast burning rate within the range of our rifle powders, slightly slower than the N110. To achieve optimal combustion, N120 requires higher pressure compared to N110. It features the smallest grain size in our rifle powder lineup, measuring only 0.8mm length and 0.6mm diameter. This small grain size facilitates easy loading and use in powder measures. Vihtavuori N120 is favored by many sport shooters, short-range target shooters and small game hunters.

For .300 AAC Blackout loads, use 0.68 g of N120 powder with a 13 g (200 grain) Lapua FMJBT bullet
For bird hunting enthusiasts who handload, consider using a 3.6 g/55 grain FMJ Lapua bullet with an N120 powder charge of 1.25 g for the .222 Remington
