Vihtavuori N170 is the slowest burning rifle powder in the N100 series, excluding 20N29 and 24N41 and is among the slowest canister-grade powders available from any manufacturer. Like all our rifle powders, N170 grains are cylindrical, single-perforated and extruded. The grains measure 1.7mm in length and 1.1mm in diameter, making them relatively large. As a very slow-burning reloading powder, N170 is an excellent choice for large-capacity cases such as the .300 Weatherby Magnum and .300 Remington Ultra Magnum and it also performs well in most belted Magnum cartridges. Reloaders use N170 in shooting disciplines like long-range big-game hunting and target shooting.
