The N565 powder is engineered to bridge the gap between Vihtavuori N560 and N570 high-energy rifle powders, specifically targeting the .338 Lapua Magnum with 250 grain bullets. It features a precisely calibrated burn rate and exceptional temperature stability, ensuring consistent performance across diverse environmental conditions. Enhanced hygroscopic stability and a new decoppering agent have been integrated to maintain a cleaner barrel during shooting. The N565 is REACH compliant and free from DNT and phthalates. The grain size of N565 is identical to that of N560, facilitating smooth flow through powder measures and ensuring excellent loadability and uniformity. Its burn rate is slightly closer to N570, effectively splitting the difference between the two. Vihtavuori N565 is a single-perforated extruded powder with a bulk density of 960 g/l and an energy content of 4000 J/g. Although initially developed for military sniping applications, N565 is also well-suited for a variety of sporting uses, particularly in long-range shooting and extreme long-range (ELR) applications. It has proven to be an optimal choice for calibers such as the 7mm Remington Magnum, .30-06, .300 Win Mag, .300 Norma Magnum and .338 Norma Magnum.
