highly recommended acquisition
Having diligently researched AR (and AK) rifles for quality and desirability of features and benefits like materials CL CHF MPI high pressure testing adherence to mil-specs etc. I have come to the conclusion that Palmetto is the industry leader. And a competitive price point was a coincdental bonus. My new 9024 replaces previously owned now discarded carbines from other vaunted manufacturers which not only shortchanged the American shooter by compliance with blue state antiamerican restrictions but used short cuts omitting desirable specifications and components mentioned above for the same high price as a 'government' speced gun. Though customer service is slow to respond to our anxious inquiries be assured that the product is on the way and you will be pleased and impressed with your purchase confident to enjoy using it and assured to pass it on to younger generations. Retail FFl dealers should keep inventory to guarantee satisfaction of demand and offer their customers this most outstanding choice.

Superb firearm but Palmetto Arms customer service still needs to improve
My Brother in Law actually bought this rifle and I got the opportunity to do my best to help put some wear on the rifle.
First off the fit and finish are at least the equal of the huge companies carbines and the out of the box trigger exceeds the quality of most makers. In short this is a superb rifle at a tremendous price.
He has had a lot of trouble getting anywhere near quick and accurate responses from Palmetto Arms customer service and all he was trying to do was to inquire as to how to purchase add on items so one would think that Palmetto would jump when an inquiry came in concerning additional purchases. Not so. I was told that it took about 10 days for him to get an email response and that calling in results in extensive on hold times to the point where he simply gave up. I know Palmetto Arms lost the opportunity to sell an optic as well as a set of back-up sights simply because of their failure to reply in anywhere near quickly. One can only imagine what would occur should he have a problem with the firearm.
Back to the carbine itself. I own a Windham Arms carbine that is now anything but "factory" but out of the box this Palmetto Arms carbine certainly outshot my Windham when I first got it. These are tremendous firearms but surely Palmetto Arms should address all the complaints concerning their customer service problems as it seems my Brother In Law is not the only person to have these problems with PA's customer service.
One "knock" against Palmetto was found to be untrue at least in my Brother In Law's case as his carbine was ordered and shipped and received in VERY short order with none of the delays that many mention. Perhaps Palmetto Arms is incrementally increasing the level of their support for their customers. The MOST important item is though that these are simply superbly crafted firearms provided at GREAT prices. I am currently on the website trying to match up the perfect upper with the perfect lower. Found my lower but the upper I want is temporarily out of stock. I sent an email to their customer support staff to please let me know when the 20" upper will be back in stock and how much the upper will cost. I guess I will soon see how quickly PSA responds.
