The enhanced Beretta 1301 Tactical refines a proven duty platform with controls and features tuned for fast, reliable operation in law-enforcement, home-defense, and high-use environments. Chambered in 12 gauge with an 18.5 inch cold hammer-forged, back-bored barrel, the shotgun uses Beretta’s BLINK gas system with a cross-tube gas piston to produce rapid, consistent cycling and a reduced recoil impulse for faster follow-up shots. The back-bored barrel geometry helps direct recoil away from the shooter’s hand, significantly reducing muzzle flip for better controllability.

Ergonomics emphasize speed and positive manipulation: the gun ships with a pistol grip and a synthetic fixed stock for secure control in dynamic positions, three oversized controls — an oversized charging handle, a large textured bolt release, and an oversized reversible safety — and an aggressively checkered forend that promotes a firm hold even with gloves. The protected ghost-ring rear sight and interchangeable front sight provide quick target acquisition, and the aircraft-grade MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail on the receiver accepts optics without modification.
