Palmetto State Armory launches a thermal optics series focused on educating users about thermal technology. This episode covers thermal clip-ons—devices that mount in front of a daytime scope, allowing users to maintain zero while adding night vision capability. Clip-ons work best with lower magnification optics, eliminate the need for re-zeroing, and can sometimes function as standalone optics. Many also offer video recording and image capture, making them a flexible option for hunters transitioning between day and night use. In this video, we are displaying the SIG Sauer Echo thermal clip-on.
