Burris PEPR QD Mount
Super nice heavy duty mount for AR Platform Rifles! If I want my scope to stay put I buy this mount! If you're complaining about a few extra ounces of weight suck-it-up-buttercup! Or go buy an inferior lighter weight product! This mount handles serious recoil and I use them for that very reason! Also phenomenal price thanks PSA!

solid
Love the fact tension can be adjusted to mount. Have a POF and there rails are little thicker then the norm.
High quality mount and price here unbeatable.

Burris PEPR is now made in China
I was initially excited to buy Burris QD PEPR mounts for $60 until I received them. What were 1st class 1pc mounts are now made in China and pretty much the run of the mill Chinese junk. The rings ID is exactly what you would expect out of a Chinese machined ring. Hills & valleys valleys & hills. The good deal ended up costing me another $100 to have a hand chucking reamer ground to 30mm to clean up the ring ID. I would absolutely not put any scope that you care about in these rings without reaming/lapping them. I have several made in US Burris PEPR mounts that are 1st rate but these are not. I certainly wouldn't install a Burris XTR in them.

Great value holds zero like a $200 mount
I have this mount for my AR's 3 Gun 1-6 Leupold scope it gets bounced in and out of dump racks and is heavily used in physical competitions. I zeroed the scope at 100 yards after taking it on and off the rifle and it always holds zero. I bought a Bobro for $220 before finding this one on sale the Bobro had to go back for service and this one just works. Don't buy a more expensive mount this one works just as well.

Solid Platform
I have a couple of these and they are a solid platform. Of course they are heavy they have the one piece single mandrel that connects the two rings together. This provides stability that two piece rings don't have and also insures that when you "true up" the rings they stay that way. To "true up" means to align the rings by honing and to insure circular concentricity by honing...which has always improved scope performance for me (i.e. reduces or eliminates change in point of impact when varying power settings).

The slight ding in quality is because honing does improve alignment and circular concentricity. However the concentricity of these rings are at least as good (alignment better) as any I've ever purchased for up to $200 and I have at least 20 scopes mounted.

perfect for me!
To start I'm not one to spend $500 on an optic. I'm a Vortex Bushnell Primary Arms kind of guy. I want stuff that works without breaking the bank. The Burris P.E.P.R mount fits this bill perfectly. I have the 30mm and 1" versions of this mount and love them. Heavy? Yes. So are the scopes they are holding. Solid as a rock though and holds steady. I'm ordering another while they are on sale because it's a great deal for the price. If you spent $500 for your scope you may scrutinize it a little more than I do. For me it's perfect!

Love it.
It's heavy for sure but I'm no wimp. Great price and quality.
