Will a supressor fit with this setup? Looks tight.
Curions on Jul 18, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The inner diameter of the rail is close to like 1.38" A suppressor that will fit is the Mystic X from Liberty Suppressors with an outside diameter of 1.375"
Need proof that PSA listens to their customers? Another gentleman asked for this YESTERDAY, and today it's deal of the day. You guys are awesome...
happy on Jul 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I have had no problems with this pistol kit. It is my first build and I really enjoyed putting it together. I plan to build my next project top to bottom. As far as PSA goes, I have had no customer service issues since I have had not issues with anything I have purchased from them.
What is the length from the end of the upper/start of the barrel to the end of the Flash hider?
Mike M on Sep 7, 2018
BEST ANSWER: As long as it’s not pinned the flash can shouldn’t matter. Says 21” overall maybe minus .5-1” assuming it was measured with the flash can.
Will it ship to california??

Keyguy707 on Jul 19, 2018

What is the overall length of the upper for this pistol kit?
Odie1kenobi on Sep 30, 2018
BEST ANSWER: says 21'' in the description
would this be considered a sbr?
chris w on Dec 23, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No, this is a pistol kit because of the brace. As long as you put it on a stripped or pistol lower, it will not be considered an SBR.
Can you replace the flash can with a flash suppressor or is the hand guard too long?
Sean M on Oct 7, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The hand guard would completely cover the flash suppressor if you removed the flash can and installed a flash suppressor.
How is this handguard compared to the one with the rail across the top?
Triggerman on Jul 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I had this hand-guard on a rifle I built a while back and actually prefer it over the other styles, for the fact that it is so much easier to grip/get your hand around, and at that it still has the rail section for a flip up sight up front which is a plus. I haven't compared weights, but I'm sure its probably lighter without a full rail as well
Do I put my address to get it shipped or do I need to send it to my local gun store?
tino p on Feb 28, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It can be shipped to you.
This is considered a pistol?
CELL89 on Dec 11, 2018
BEST ANSWER: according to the ATF it is. that's an arm brace not a buttstock at the back of the pistol

I’m getting ready to build my very first AR. If I purchased this the only thing I’d need is a stripped lower correct?
Cole W on May 31, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes you r correct also need iron sights and optic for complete build the magpul flip ups r a great deal from palmetto right now and the vortex sparc is a nice red dot optic
What lower goes with this kit?
Arthur on Dec 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: You can use any new AR lower. I used I Spikes fit great. You can not take a lower off a rifle that came complete as it is registered as a rifle not a pistol. Use any new lower and it will be fine.
Has anyone had issues mounting this upper on a lower? I can't get the takedown pins though. help please?
Dillon on Dec 10, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Another kit that I purchased had this issue on the rear takedown pin.

Make sure your bolt is not hitting the top of the lower receiver.

Make sure there is no debris on your takedown pins or in the upper receiver holes. Oil your takedown pins well and lightly tap with a rubber mallet. It will loosen up over time and with a little use.
Is this compatible with .223?
Cheath8 on Feb 28, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes. A barrel chambered for 556, can safely and reliably fire 223. The same does not necessarily apply in reverse. It is not advisable to run 556 through a barrel chambered for 223.
Do the qd slots over the flash can actually have the clearance to attach a sling? Or are the two slots nearest to the reciever the only ones that fit?
Jay R on May 20, 2019
BEST ANSWER: They do not have clearance. You will need to attach an M-lok qd attachment to the slots behind the can to attach a sling or mount a different muzzle device that has a smaller diameter.
collapsible arm brace?
Ronzo on Jan 2, 2019
BEST ANSWER: yes. 5 position on mine
Is the gas block adjustable?
Jeff C on Dec 26, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No.
Can you remove the flash can at all? And if so, how? Mine does not seem to screw off easily.. Lol.
Jacob R on Jun 16, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yup. Loosen the screws on the handguard, slide the handguard off then use a wrench to loosen the can and thread it off. I tool mine off a threaded a suppressor on.
Does the hand guard come off pretty easy? I want to install a shorter flash can.
William K on Jun 11, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It does remove easily. Just a few small bolts and it'll slide off. I removed mine to install an adjustable gas block. No issues getting it on or off. Just remember to use threadlocker when reinstalling.
Is there a way to put a barrel extender on which extends enough past the rail system to put any sized diameter suppressor on?
Jesse L on May 5, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I would recommend just going with a 10.5 barrel with a 9 inch rail.
Is the bolt nickel boron treated?
Tom O on Apr 29, 2019
BEST ANSWER: No this does not come with the nickel boron bcg you would have to purchase separately. Standard full auto bcg
Everyone says this is a great shooting 10.5 barrel, but what grain of bullet shoots the best 55 or 62, and what brand of ammo is everyone shooting through theirs.???
Steve on Apr 28, 2019
BEST ANSWER: 55 works fine. The 1:7 rate twist may be better suited for a heavier grain, but with a shorter barrel a heavier round may lose velocity more dramatically. The other thing to consider is if the 62 is the steel core, which can affect the stability of projectile regardless of twist and barrel length. My son and I had no problems hitting 12" steel at 50yds with 55 in this pistol using a red dot and co-witness sights.
I already have an M&P lower. Will that be considered a pistol?
Dan S on Apr 26, 2019
BEST ANSWER: If the M&P was purchased as a complete rifle and not just the lower receiver from an FFL. It is still considered a rifle in the eyes of the law and can not be turned into a pistol. You can get any stripped lower and put this kit together.

It’s pretty cool
Good looking kit, easy to assemble. The only concern I have is the flash hider looks like it’s aluminum, which can be fine but you’ll need to stick with a forward directing muzzle device if you decide to change it.
I do like the kit and would buy it again.

PSA 10.5 Pistol
Surprisingly accurate for a 10.5 inch pistol. Good groups even at 100 yards with Black Hills 68 grain MHP.

Great kit for the money.
Great Ar kit for the money. Approximately 500 rounds and no issues so far. You might want to invest in a high quality set of ear protection. This pistol is loud and throws a hell of a fireball.

Not too bad
I finally got the parts kits built, looks nice. I would have gave it 5 stars but the upper doesn’t have a snug fit to the lower. There is quite a bit of play and wobble. I can pretty much fit a dime in some parts between the upper and lower, mainly around the back.
