In addition to the flair of a metallic, eye-catching feature to your rifle, the NP# coating is functionally advantageous as well. NPS is an electroless nickel/PTFE coating that combines Teflon with Electroless Nickel giving you a low friction surface with lubricative qualities that is extremely hard and resistant to wear giving you a much longer life for your charging handle as well as your upper receiver.
