PALMETTO STATE ARMORY AK LINEUP

The Palmetto State Armory line of AK Rifles is growing in both its popularity and in its offerings.

This guide will help you navigate the differences between the Palmetto State Armory lineup.

PSA AK-GF3

Palmetto State Armory's most popular AK rifle. The GF-3 is an AK built to last a lifetime. Inside the stamped steel receiver you will find a hammer forged bolt, hammer forged carrier and hammer forged front trunnion. The GF3 is complimented by a button-broached nitrided barrel chambered in 7.62 x 39 and built with a 1/9.5' twist rate and an M14 x1 LH thread pitch. The GF-3 remains one of the most popular rifles in the PSA lineup. Production will remain strong on the GF-3 even as new offerings are added to the Palmetto State Armory AK lineup.

The GF3 line also includes pistol versions sold as the PSA AK-P.

Like all Palmetto State Armory products, the GF-3 carries PSA's 100% Full Lifetime Warranty.

MSRP on the GF3 begins at $599.99 and increases depending on specific model offerings.

PSA AK-GF4

Building off the success of its popular GF3 line of AK-47 rifles, Palmetto State Armory is now offering the GF4 AK chambered in 7.62 x 39 and built with a hammer forged bolt, hammer forged carrier and hammer forged front trunnion and finished off with a PSA Cold Hammer Forged, Chrome-Lined Barrel. Thread pitch on the GF4: M14 x1 LH.

The GF4 is priced approximately $100 more than similar GF3 models.

Both the GF4 and the GF3 will be produced and available to purchase at the same time.

PSA AK-E

The Belle of the AK Ball, the AK-E is Palmetto State Armory's top-tier AK offering. The PSA-AK Enhanced is an American Made AK offering the world's only FN Cold Hamer Forged Chrome Lined Barrel chambered in 7.62 x 39 with a M14 x1 LH Thread Pitch. The AK-E will utilize a hammer forged Nickel Boron Carrier, hammer forged Nickel Boron bolt and the Lead Star Arms 4340 Aircraft Quality Hammer Forged Front Trunnion. To make it even better, the AK-E will ship with the ALG AKT trigger installed to provide an even better shooting experience.

PSA AK-103 'KLONE'

If you're not familiar with the AK-103, imagine that someone took all the best parts of the AK-47 and put them together with all the best parts of the AK-74 and turned it into one amazing platform. That's the AK-103. Chambered in 7.62 x 39 and featuring a hammer forged carrier, hammer forged bolt and hammer forged front trunnion along with an AK-74 style brake, gas block and front sight base. The AK-103 'Klone' will be built with a Hammer Forged Chrome Lined AK barrel chambered in 7.62 x 39 and a thread pitch of M24 x 1.5 RH.

The AK-103 Klone will offer two options: A standard and premium edition.

The Standard AK-103 Klone will host a hammer forged bolt, hammer forged carrier and hammer forged front trunnion and a PSA Cold Hammer Forged, Chrome-Lined Barrel.

The Premium AK-103 Klone will be built with a hammer forged bolt, hammer forged carrier and the Lead Star Arms 4340 Aircraft Quality Hammer Forged Front Trunnion. The barrel on the Premium AK-103 will be a Cold Hammer Forged Chrome Lined FN barrel chambered in 7.62 x 39 - a barrel made exclusively for Palmetto State Armory.

PSA AK-74

The PSA AK-74 will carry a 100% Full Lifetime Warranty.

PSA AK-556

How do you combine America's favorite caliber with the classic AK platform? The PSA AK-556.

Built to withstand the high pressure of the 5.56 x 45 caliber, the AK-556 utilizes a thicker, more resilient hammer forged front trunnion as would typically be found in an RPK rifle. The hammer forged carrier and hammer forged bolt will add to both the rifle's durability and reliability. With a last round bolt hold open feature, the PSA AK-556 is a true step forward for the AK market, and is backed with Palmetto State Armory's 100% Full Lifetime Warranty. Thread pitch on the AK556 is 1/2 x 28 RH.

PSA AK-V

The breakout star of the Palmetto State Armory family, the AK-V is a 9MM blowback operated pistol that is based on the Russian Vityaz submachine gun design. It uses a hammer forged bolt, hammer forged carrier and hammer forged front trunnion to keep it running past thousands upon thousands of rounds.

With a 35 round Scorpion style magazine and slick ergonomics, the AK-V is a fast and smooth shooter that allows the user to modify both the trigger and the furniture with classic AK style components.

Thread pitch on the AK-V is 1/2 x 28 RH.

As always, the AK-V carries PSA's 100% Full Lifetime Warranty.

We may have one in the future, but I do not have anything concrete. We are focusing on getting the standard AK74 out at the moment.

What about a AK-P with a CHF barrel, FN or other? I plan on buying an AK-P when I see one in stock. I just don't want to pull the trigger (pun intended) if there's a nicer GF4 variant on its way in the near future.

We plan on coming out with a CHF version of the AK-P, but it is a long-term project that most likely will not happen until 2021.

Hey any update on the release date of the AK 103?

An RPK in 12 gauge would serve as a stand-in for a certain now banned from import shotgun that a lot of us fell in love with, especially if it's threaded to accept the same brakes and has a magwell to use the same magazines. A 308 Dragunov set up to accept AR 10 mags would also be something that I'm very much interested in.

We do not plan on selling SBR's. We let the consumer decide on the right outfit for them, let them take the measurements, then they can form 1 it. It usually works out best that way.

The AK in 5.56 will not be anytime soon. Most likely a Q4 project, so you don't have to keep checking the website at this point!

Here are the two best ways to get know that the AK103 is getting ready to launch. If you check our website once a day, once you see the listing, you will know that the release is imminent. Also, if you join our Facebook group for AK owners, they may give you a heads up there as well.

We are working on a version of the AK-E that is a pistol. I currently do not have an exact time frame. It is comparable to the standard AK-E, not the GF4. The GF4 is the same as the GF3, but with a CHF/CL barrel.

The bolt stem will be narrower. We cannot guarantee that our parts will work with another manufacturers due to so many different manufacturers and their different specs.

They are finishing up on the AK74 as we speak. They are doing the final testing of the guns. The 74 should be out within the first two weeks of August. The AK103 just came together quicker than the AK74!

It would be really awesome if you guys did a Drugonov or a PSL or something in 7.62x54R. I would definitely buy one provided I could afford it. I’m sure tons of other people would too, especially since the Drugonov is such a popular rifle and so impossible to buy.

I’ve been checking your site at least twice a day, signed up for Daily Deals and repeatedly hit the “notify me when in stock” tab hoping to get a whiff of the 103 line. Have several of your weapons that I have pieced together or bought with no complaints but they’re AR’s. I’m probably older than a lot of you and started buying AK’s when everyone still thought they were just the weapon of the enemy. I had to start learning to fix or modify them myself similar to the way Jim Fuller got started because Gunsmiths hated them and would tell you that. Now that I’m semi-retired I eat, sleep and breathe AK’s and want to get my hands on your 103 line even if it means grabbing the one out of the scrap pile because you think it was not worth fixing. I am heavily involved in the local AK community and would be glad to pay for one,beat the snot out of it and report back. Please keep my nickname “Quick” in mind and on top of the list. I’d even be willing to show up with a truck load of tooling to help. Thx.

I just received my gf5 ak. I of course immediately inspected my new rifle. I noticed that the barrel had no markings. If they're sporting FN barrels for there higher end ak's why is it not stamped FN on the barrel? Maybe it's there in house made chrome lined barrel?

The sku# 51655113227 this is the closest one to what I'd be looking at but with sku# 51655120363. Mainly wanting the fn barrel in a 14.7 with pinned and welded break and alg akt trigger.
