Here is an update on the PSA VUK, a long-stroke gas piston rifle inspired by the Jakl that uses 5.56 AK rock-and-lock magazines while keeping compatibility with AR safeties, AR-15 fire control, and AR grips. After showing an updated version at SHOT Show 2025 and hearing feedback, PSA reverted to the core 2024 design with a few refinements, including keeping the 4.5mm rear trunnion for AK stocks and improving the lower handguard. The VUK remains in the design and prototyping phase, and PSA is asking for community feedback as development continues toward SHOT Show.
Virginia statewide injunction goes into effect on July 21st. We will begin accepting orders to Virginia today and hold them until we can legally ship on July 21st.
