What is the difference between the wild and 556 or regular 223?
James B on Dec 2, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The dimensions of the reamer used to cut the barrel chamber are slightly different in free bore length and throat angle. The Wilde chamber is supposed to result in smaller groups than those possible with the 5.56 NATO chamber, all other things being equal.
What do I need to get to complete this build? Is it just the bottom receiver ? If so where can I find one?
Zach H on Dec 1, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes just the stripped lower receiver. You can by one on here and have it shipped to ur local gun shop or FFL.( your gun shop/FFL will charge a fee) Or just go to ur local gun shop and pick one up.

s k on Dec 13, 2018

What tools beyond a lower and what's in the kit will I need to assemble this rifle?
salif m on Dec 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: A couple of small puches preferably brass so you don't mar the finish or the pins. A small hammer also preferably brass. It only takes 15-20 minutes to assembly a lower, there's plenty of good videos on YouTube.
Where can I find the lower build for this rifle?
Zach H on Dec 1, 2018

Where is the best place to get magazines for this?
Brandon L on Mar 6, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Any online tactical store. I purchased mine from PSA.
They had a daily special with 10 30rd mags with 420rds of ammo. You can also purchase 10 and 30 rd Magpul magazines from Academy sports and Bass pro shop. I would check PSA first for better deals.
This is the exact kit I have been looking for but since I live in MD I have to use a “Heavy barrel”. Is there a kit just like this that comes with a heavy barrel instead?
Rick T on Feb 10, 2019
BEST ANSWER: This IS the heavy barrel. The "lightweight" in the description refers to the M-LOK handrail, not the barrel.

Will this build shoot 5.56?
Robet W on Mar 13, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes. For future reference, any gun chambered in ".223 wylde" will shoot .223 qnd 5.56 rounds. The chambering that is .223 ammo specific is called .223 remington.
Is the Upper fully assembled? Will I need a Upper vise block, Armorers wrench etc?
Thanks. First build
jetjoc on Mar 12, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The upper is fully assembled. I would recommend getting a vice block, armorers wrench, torque wrench, punch set and a small mallet to drive the pins for the lower parks kit. Also some good lithium grease and blue loc-tight for some of the screws. I'm on my third build in as many months and If I would have known how easy it is to assemble a rifle in an AR platform, I would have started years ago and have 50 rifles by now. YouTube has some good install videos that will walk you through your first build. After the second build, it becomes almost second nature to put one together. Academy sells a builders tool kit that has almost everything you need however, I found the punch pins they include are lacking so I bought a set from Harbor Freight. Have fun.
Is the headspace checked during assembly?
Devan H on Feb 10, 2019
BEST ANSWER: yes, the upper is good to go, and headspaced accordingly during the manufacture of the barrel and addition of the barrel extension.
What mounts would I need to mount 3.5-10x50 vortex scope?
Victor L on Dec 21, 2018
BEST ANSWER: You would need a set of rings that fits a picatinny/m1913/weaver rail and has the same diameter as your scope tube, either 1" or 30mm. Probably medium or high rings.
Is there any documentation available regarding assembly of this kit? This is my first build and I'd rather not wing it
Dave S on Dec 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Midway has great video tutorials on their website. There are tons on YouTube as well.
Should the buffer spring be Rifle length 43 rings?
Jluke750 on Mar 19, 2019
Will the rifle length gas system have issues with cycling rounds? I thought rifles started using rifle length gas systems on 20 inch barrels and up?
lucas w on Mar 18, 2019

mememe on Dec 20, 2018

This is compete kit ?? Excluding mag ??
Randy S on Mar 26, 2019
BEST ANSWER: PSA "kits" never include the serialized completed lower. For that you have to buy a separate completed lower through an FFL or buy the lower receiver kit and parts to complete it if you have the armorers tools. You are also correct there is no magazine.

nice rifle
Got this about 3 months ago. Not sure how many rounds I've fired through it but it has done great. I've heard it didn't like the cheap steel case ammo, so I had to try it myself and it took every type of ammo I fed it. It was easy to put together, but seemed to get a little harder the more I drank but I got er done with no problems. I would certainly recommend this rifle.

223 Wylde
Lets clear this up... .223, 5.56, 223Wylde are CHAMBER SIZES...not size of the Ammunition or CASE... this being said The 223 Wylde chamber is in the middle of .233 and 5.56 in reference to chamber size. The 223 Wylde will shoot either type of Ammunition. It has tighter chamber size than the loose Mil-Spec 5.56 chamber and is larger in size than the .223 Remington. This makes it inherently more accurate than 5.56 but not as finicky as a tight .223 chamber. Now that that is clear......
This 223 Wylde kit does well with Both; 55grain .223 and 62grain M855. Both out to 150Yds with repeatable accuracy on a 12" target.... While I did not bench test to see if I can mickey mouse some holes, for a first time out this performed Flawlessly through s couple of hundred rounds.

The kit itself included everything to fit your standard AR Mil-Spec lower. The kit also went together easily with some basic hand tools and an Armorers Wrench. Would again, will again and have recommended this kit. Thanks PSA.... Your quality has improved greatly and the CHEAP/CHEEP PSA STUFF is just a myth, IMHO. Thanks for a nice build ..... DrB

Fun plinker for under 450.
First AR I've owned so I can't say exactly how good it is. What I can say is I wanted a cheap plinker and that's what I got. I paired this deal with PSAs turkey day lower and the total price was around 450. It's loads of fun to shoot and it's accurate enough to hit a dinner plate at 200 yards. Hasn't had a malfunction in the 300 rounds I've run through it. The trigger is fairly heavy but I can't complain too much it for the price. Good enough for me.
