On the customer picture review he installed his sight on backwards?
huy t on May 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I would suppose a peep sight works either way but yes, I would have installed the rear sight flipped around and farther back.
Does this need an FFL?
Juston L on Apr 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This product is not serialized and does not require and FFL. The serialized part which does require an FFL is the stripped lower receiver. This build kit completes the lower.

Will this work for a PA-10 build?
Daniel J on Apr 19, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No, it will not.
What does the abbreviation “EPT” stand for?
David W on Jan 29, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Enhanced Polished Trigger (EPT) group. "We start with our standard single-stage government-style fire control group, finely polish the contact surfaces and then coat the hammer and trigger in a super slick nickel finish. The result is a trigger that is substantially smoother than mil-spec. A great economical upgrade."
Does the trigger in this use standard milspec springs or are they different?
Marcus D on Jul 2, 2018
BEST ANSWER: While the surfaces have been polished and coated (a nice extra) I would say the springs are standard milspec. You can always change those out if you choose but they work fine. Good luck with your build.
Is this kit for a a1 a2 or a3 upper?
Jeffrey on May 29, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This kit is for a standard AR lower. The standard AR lower will fill standard AR uppers; a1, a2, a3, and m4.
Will this fit a pa10 lower for 6. 5 Creedmoor Gen 2 PSA?
Clint on Sep 7, 2018
BEST ANSWER: There is a definite difference in the dimensions between an AR-15 & an AR-10 lower. While the parts may look similar they will not interchange. I hope that helps.
Do the build kits work with .22LR Uppers?
Jason W on May 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes. This build kit has nothing to do with the size of caliber
Will this kit work with a .22 LR upper?
Jason W on May 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Jason that question is too broad. You need to be more specific about parts. This kit will function in a standard AR-15 lower receiver. Research the upper that you have/want and determine if it is compatible with a standard AR lower receiver or if a specialized AR lower is required.
What is the buffer tube made of, 6061 or 7075 aluminum?
Steve z on Oct 24, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I believe 7075, just buy the ept moe kit , i did and im very pleased with the quality.
Is this the ACT trigger?
Rob M on Jul 25, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Their version of it, both are coated mil-spec triggers.
How heavy is the buffer?
jesus z on May 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Right at 3oz. I've purchased several of these kits and they are all 3-3.2oz buffers.
Anyone know the sku for the buffer spring in the kit?
Chase on Jan 14, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I believe that the SKU # is 410
What type of buffer is in this kit? Standard, H, H-1?
Hunter11 on Dec 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Standard carbine weight of 3 ounces.
Can I use this to build a 9mm AR pistol? I have a stripped PSA 9mm Glock Mag well lower.
Scott S on Apr 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Everything, except for the buttstock. They are not legal for a pistol build. The buttstock is what defines a rifle or a pistol. You need to get a standard pistol tube or a brace. Palmetto sells all of the popular good braces.
What is the trigger pull weight when it's installed with the stock springs?

If you’re building a lower, this is a great kit.
Same ole magpul quality. Same ole PSA quality. Was honestly a little concerned how the trigger would feel. I run an ALG trigger on another AR of mine so I’m a little spoiled with it. Honestly, the EPT trigger feels very similar to my ALG.

Not up to par, but still usable
I have ordered this kit before and was disappointed with this last one. In the past the kit included the "Enhansed Trigger" which costs about $20 more than the standard kit but comes with a very tight, smooth and crisp Teflon coated trigger group with a very short reset and almost no take-up. The kit I received this time had a damaged sear and not only was the pull longer, it was gritty. I inspected the trigger and found the sear portion of the hammer had serrations on the edge and face of the sear. I called Palmetto and they were kind enough to send a second trigger group but what I received was just a hammer and a disconnector, no trigger. I installed the new hammer with the trigger that came with the kit and the results were not as nice as I hoped for. The trigger feels exactly like a standard trigger instead of the Enhanced one I thought I was getting and not like the Enhanced one I had bought before. It works, and it's not terrible, but not what I was expecting. I'll probably replace it with a better trigger later and chalk it up to experience.

Good feel and quality. At first was a little sceptical because I couldn't touch it or feel it. When I received it I had to put it together and it felt awesome
