SHOT Show Day 3 - The KS74

Share:

It seems to be the year of the AK here in Booth 425 at SHOT Show 2019 in Las Vegas.

The Palmetto State Armory KS-74 is bringing the slim, modular design of the AR-15 into the world of the 5.45 x 39 caliber.

The PSA KS-74 strongly resembles an AR-15 until you take a closer look at the magazine and the lower receiver.

Built to accept standard AK-74 magazines while also utilizing an AR-15 buffer system, buttstock and handguard, the KS-74 is the next step in our KS line of rifles.

The Palmetto State Armory KS-74 is currently in the early stages of research and development. The final product must meet our quality and design standards in order to carry our 100% Full Lifetime Warranty. We will keep you updated as we progress on the project.

Watch for more updates here.

I think you might have seen the “KS-47” which is available. “KS-74” is what we are looking for(5.45x39).

They announced on ARFCOM that these were on indefinite hold. I will be asking them about what's going on when I'm at SHOT, because I was also very disappointed these didn't materialize as planned.

I apologize for any frustration. We are focusing on the AK74 and many other projects at the moment. It is not completely off the table, but we do not have any immediate plans to pick back up the idea of the KS74 being produced.

Other projects have taken precedence over us making the KS74. We have not taken it off the table, but it is not a priority at the moment.

Can you make the ks 47 use 5.45x39 barrel with upper lower and use ak magazine
Josiah

It seems like an easy swap, but it is not. Due to various reasons including but not limited to dimensions, the KS47 will not work with KS74 magazines.
