AAC Hub2K – A Modern Spin on a Suppressor Legend
Palmetto State Armory introduces the AAC Hub 2K, a modern evolution of the iconic M42000 suppressor. Designed to deliver that classic M42000 feel with updated features, the Hub 2K is fully 3D printed from durable 718 Inconel, offering the same rugged performance in a more modular and user-friendly format.
Measuring just over 6 inches long with a 1.5-inch diameter, the Hub 2K weighs only 12.7 oz and comes standard with a 1/2x28 direct-thread adapter. It also features hub threading, allowing compatibility with a wide range of mounting systems.
Internally, the Hub 2K retains the Mod 8 baffle geometry for top-tier sound suppression, but it's bored to 6mm, making it compatible with more calibers than just 5.56mm. The inclusion of clip-style baffles helps reduce gas blowback, and Cameron notes a noticeable decrease in gas-to-face compared to the original M42000.
In performance testing, the Hub 2K delivered decibel levels nearly identical to the M42000 Mod 8 at the shooter’s ear while improving shootability and modular compatibility.
